Why Noise Cancelling Headphones?

Added March 27th, 2010 by admin

Noise cancelling headphones work by reducing or eliminating unwanted sounds with the use of a microphone that sends out signals that counteract (or repel in a sense) the noise waves. Such noise canceling headphones use earcups to help with this noise canceling technique. This allows the listener to enjoy tunes without having to blast the headphones. As good as this sounds, we must acknowledge some of the disadvantages associated with these cans like the fact that noise canceling headphones tend to use more power, be bulkier and they do not always block out all of the noise. However, a good model can definitely help you sleep on an airplane! In fact, noise cancellation headphones don’t just make a long flight more relaxed by cancelling the engine sounds, they actually reduce the jetlag once you arive.

We will immerse ourselves in the development of noice cancelling headphones and hope to inform you about what happens on that front, as we say “there is more to come”
